Patricia A. Shackelford,
of the Shackelford Law Firm, has worked on both civil and
criminal matters. She is a former briefing attorney to
the 13th Court of Appeals in Corpus Christi, Texas. While
at the Court of Appeals, Ms. Shackelford worked on more
than a hundred civil appeals. Patricia has
provided legal and appellate briefing in a variety of personal
injury,
auto products liability, insurance, and healthcare fraud
cases. Her practice focuses on civil and criminal appeals
and trial briefing.
Civil appeals may be handled
on a flat fee, hourly fee, contingent fee or some combination
thereof.
St. Clair County v. Ford Motor Co.,
appeal from a jury verdict claiming that the trial court
erred in denying plaintiffs’ Batson challenge,
and that the trial court erroneously seated a statutorily
disqualified juror. The case was settled on appeal.
